Professional Teeth Whitening

Are you getting ready for a wedding or a special date? Do you have an important meeting or interview coming up? Do you want your smile to stand out in pictures and videos? Do you simply want to improve your confidence in public?

Having a beautiful, brighter smile may be easier than you think. People of any age can achieve the look they’ve been dreaming of with our simple whitening procedure.

Dental whitening can be used to correct tooth discoloration caused by staining, aging, or chemical damage. In cases of extreme tooth discoloration, crowns or veneers may be the only choice, but because of the low cost of whitening, it’s nearly always worth a solid try.

HOW DOES TEETH WHITENING WORK?

It’s actually safe, quick, and relatively inexpensive! You can lighten only your upper or both the upper and lower teeth, depending on how much you show when you talk and smile.

During your first appointment, we record the initial shade of your enamel and take an impression of your teeth to make a specialized “teethguard” or “tray” that will hold the whitening solution against your teeth. In a few days after your first appointment, your custom lab-made trays will be ready for pick up.

We also provide you with a special whitening gel that you put into the clear trays. With only a few hours of wear per day, the special bleaching agent bubbles stains right out of your enamel in about a week to ten days. This happens without altering your tooth structure or existing dental work in any way. In some cases, the change is nothing short of brilliant. When your teeth reach the desired brightness, only occasional treatment is needed to maintain your new smile.

WHAT ABOUT OVER-THE-COUNTER ALTERNATIVES?

Over-the-counter bleaching kits are available for purchase at most drug stores and pharmacies. These kits, however, are not custom-made to fit the unique shape of your teeth. As a result, several problems may occur. First, these bulky one-size-fits-all stents don’t stay on your teeth as well as custom-made trays. Secondly, compensating for the poor fit, you end up using more whitening solution than necessary to brighten your teeth. The excess solution may also irritate your gums and lips.

Over-the-counter tooth whitening strips, brush-on gels and toothpastes can take weeks or months to whiten your teeth just a few shades.

Consulting Dr. Mironov should always be the first step to whitening your teeth safely.
